Unitary Engineering Services (UES) is a £5m building and renewables specialist run by Adam Griffiths, whose father Roger set up the company in 1986.
Their big news was the completion of a major project to electrify the Taunton depot of transport operator First Bus, as part of the company’s aim to reduce emissions and improve air quality.
Ongoing media relations resulted in more than a dozen pieces of coverage – business publications, newsletters, print coverage – in regional business and trade titles.
Off the back of the story, we also generated a profile article on Adam’s business journey in one of Bristol’s most popular magazines (itself worth more than £1,000 in advertising space), as well as a pending feature on UES in the sector’s leading trade publication.

Adam’s team had a great story about their project to electrify the Taunton depot of First Bus – a strong business story with a public-facing impact… all the ingredients for some great press coverage.
Our dip in and dip out package uses the press release as a starter point for ongoing media relations – once we have relationships with relevant press, unexpected media opportunities tend to arise. We’re there to execute and maximise their potential.
We helped Adam and his marketing team with a variety of copywriting needs – drafting responses to editors’ questions, compiling expertise around sustainability and assisting with drafting quotes in line with company values and marketing objectives.
Businesses who work with us sporadically love the photography we provide – they can use it for further marketing purposes, their LinkedIn profile… whatever they like as long as it’s not for profit (lest the photographers get grumpy).
