supporting a network of new media trainees

training Media Ambassadors for a UK-wide franchise

The HR Dept was a long-standing client, supported by us as it broadened its network of franchisees across the UK to achieve nation-wide presence in more than 100 territories.

As the company grew, the leadership team was keen for the most established regional franchisees to become media spokespeople, representing the views of their SME client base through the media of business press, TV and radio.

We helped select and train these regional Media Ambassadors to represent the brand, not only in fielding media inquiries but by proactively seeking coverage opportunities.

The results were spectacular, leading to a significant spike in media appearances for the brand. We helped influence Government policy during Covid, using our contacts in the North West to persuade then Chancellor Rishi Sunak to introduce a flexible element to the Coronavirus Job Retention furlough scheme.

how we helped

media relations

We’ve helped train a select group of HR professionals in the rudimentary skills of PR – teaching them about news sense, media relations, copy crafting and good photography.

training day

We hosted a training day in Bristol, dealing with different levels of confidence and ability – cajoling where required and encouraging proactivity as default.

thought leadership

As the UK’s most successful HR franchise business the company has access to some serious expertise, not only on human resources but also on how to run a franchise. We’ve helped write articles on a range of issues across sectors, establishing credibility and raising brand profile.
